Beginning in November, Tim started our 4th bedroom remodel. We decided to turn our loft into a 4th bedroom so that all kids could have their own bedroom. Also, it will increase the value of our home when we look to sell. Here is the beginning of the wall. The door to the bedroom is on the right. Behind the wall will be the bedrooms walk in closet, it's door is on the far left (not pictured). In the right side of the closet is a space we're turning into a linen closet, which is why there is a doorway there, accessible from the hallway/top of the stairs.

in 2014 We put up lights for the first time. Next year we'll buy a few more and add to around the windows!
Lila got some dress up shoes and tiaras for Christmas. Both are loved by both children.
Ana was about 4 1/2 months during Christmas time. She's a super snuggler and LOVES mommy. Here's she's happy but 85% of the time I have to be standing. She has what they call a "butt button"
She is also my second thumb sucker. I caught this one afternoon. Right at Christmas time is when she started to sleep through the night too. She was up every 3 hours until then. This was hard because Levi and Lila both slept through the night before 12 weeks.
I finally gave in and cut my hair. This is a picture after I took off 10 inches. It was down to my waist!
Speaking of hair, Lila's is getting really long too. She asked me for Elsa hair the other day. I've never really braided, much less french braided but after some practicing I'm getting the hang of it. She loves me to do her hair, so it's nice that she sits still. (Granted, the TV is on)
The past 2 weeks we've had some really cold weather, and yes that included snow!
I bundled the kids up as best I could and put them outside. Levi is holding his hands like this because hes gloves are those flimsy knit ones, so they're caked in snow and he's cold. (It's SO hard to find toddler/kids snow gloves)
We got a lot of snow too, almost a full foot this first time (it's since snowed a couple more inches) Lila LOVES SNOW! She'd stay outside in it all day if I'd let her. It was really her first experience since she was barely walking last winter. It was pretty funny to watch her experience it, and attempt to walk in snow that was basically to her knees. I'm glad Tim was home to take them out so I could stay inside with the baby and just watch.
Ana turned 5 months January 8th. I got my camera out, and with some natural window light, attempted some shots. Normally she won't look at me when I'm behind the camera (which makes sense) So I was able to get my shutter release remote out, set the camera on a tripod aimed right at her, then stood above the camera and made funny faces and talked to her so she's look and smile. She loves to be called "Sweet Pea!"
Sidenote: Ana was also blessed with good hair. It's normally not this tame. I sprayed this with some detangling spray, brushed it, and put the clip in. Normally it's like Albert Einstein's level of a crazy hair

This year I also decided to try and put my name out there a little more for my photography. It's always nice to make a little bit extra income on the side. I'm currently saving to pay for my online BYU classes. I can't use financial aid/grants/loans for these classes so we have to pay for them out of pocket. And with Tim's school right now, it makes it extra hard. Its slow going, but I'll get there eventually
Anyway, I was actually able to try my hand at newborn photos at the beginning of January. A friend of mine from church had this little girl, Hannah on January 3rd, so she's only 7 days old in this picture. I'm pretty impressed with how well they came out for a first try and a lower end camera.

I have big plans for my "business" this year. I already have a couple of sessions lined up and when weather is better, I'm hoping to really get the ball rolling. I even am in the mix of potentially being selected as the sports photographer for a local baseball league (like the sports photos you have done of your kids and their teams). The league has over 150 players, which could potentially mean a decent bump in income and even better a surge in potential clients for other photos. So I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for that one! I also decided to name my business

I got the idea from the initials of my kids' names (Ana, Lila, Levi) and because they are the main reason I started taking pictures. And also because I don't have a specialty, but an ALL purpose/general photographer. Anyway, lots of stuff going on this year and I'm psyched about doing it all. I'm especially looking forward to learning and growing as a photographer.
Speaking of taking photos. I've also been called as the Ward Historian. I get to put together and document everything that our ward does, and then it gets submitted to the stake who then submits it to Salt Lake City for the records of the Church. It was difficult at first because I was called in the last week of November, so trying to get something together for the 2014 year was tough. But this year, I'm prepped and ready.
