Too Busy
This whole bloggin thing is hard. I have so much to do and so little time. I don't know how people do it sometimes. Granted, I don't sacrifice sleep for my blogging either. Between work, baby, husband, school, church calling, and household chores... I don't have much time for anything.
On a lighter note, Tim and I attended our cousin Ashley's wedding last friday. It was wonderful, she was absolutely gorgeous, and the reception was a blast. We've learned next time to find a babysitter because it through Levi's whole schedule off and he was pretty cranky. It didn't help that Tim was in the wedding party so I was sitting with Levi alone for a while, who also by the way decided to pee on me for the first time in months while changing his diaper at the reception. While the wedding party took pictures after the ceremony I grabbed my own camera and did a photoshoot with Levi. I will post my favorites when I get home. (Hence the so busy part of my life, I'm posting at work while on break)

Downward dog to army crawl.
Levi has officially taken off! Within one day he went from just holding himself up on his hands and toes a.k.a. "downward dog" to doing an army crawl. OK, so he's not full blown crawling yet. That's ok because I need a little bit of time to prepare the house for baby-proofing. I'm sure he'll be there by the beginning of next week. It's about time we got him something other than the few toys he has. I grew up playing with cardboard boxes, but there are so many different things these days. Even ones that will help his coordination and develop in other areas both physically and mentally. We will see what we can do. I'm sure anything is better than the Oreo cookie wrapper that he is obsessed with in the video below. He'll be walking before we know it.

My little roly poly.
So for the past 2 weeks or so, Levi rolls everywhere to get around. He can turn different directions on his tummy and then rolls (preferably to the left) to get whatever he wants. I've tried putting his toys or food just out of reach but he gives up quickly and just puts his head down and lays there.
However it does seem to be working. Within the last 2 or 3 days he's been getting up on his knees and rocking back and forth. Then, last night he officially made his first attempt forward 2 times in a row! It's not graceful whatsoever, but he gets up on his knees and then lunges forward and collapses and then does it again to get what he wants. He also does this thing where he gets on all fours. meaning hands and toes. I attempted to get video of this last night, but he was somewhat uncooperative. ENJOY!

Be sure to check out the other post for 4th of July.
Levi's first 4th of July
After eating tons of food this past weekend, we packed up and drove to Yellow Springs to watch the fireworks with Missy, Ryan, and the boys. We got there super early, laid out a blanket and chairs and enjoyed the company while the boy's played baseball and football with Uncle Tim. This was also Levi's first 4th of July. He sat quietly the entire time, no fussing, and watched the fireworks with delight. Occasionally he flinched when there was a really big explosion, but who doesn't? At oen point and time I had to cover his eyes because the flashes were so bright they hurt my eyes. (Did I mention we were SUPER close. about 200 yards away from where they lit them off) I also covered his ears at the finale bceause it was SOOO loud. Here's a video I took though of him enjoying the show.
