Some of the best chicken and noodles we've ever had. Ashlee, this is for you since you're looking for new recipes.
4 Frozen/or fresh whole chicken breasts
2 Cans Cream of Chicken Soup
2 Cans Chicken Broth
1 Stick of Butter
Salt and Pepper
1 pound box of your favorite noodle
Place Chicken in crockpot, top with cream of chicken soup and broth. Cut stick of butter into tablespoon size pieces and place in crockpot. Low for 8 hours, shred chicken.
Prepare pasta separately in boiling pot of water 20 minutes before ready to eat. Add cooked pasta to chicken mixture and voila!
**Most recipes call for egg noodles, even frozen egg noodles and you can place them in the crockpot with the chicken mixture. BUT, you have to watch them to make sure the noodles don't get overcooked and mushy. (Which is why I prefer to cook my noodles separate to al dente and then add)
**We prefer Rotini style noodles. They cook quickly, they mix with sauces easily, and they're easier for little hands or little hands learning with forks to pick up( as opposed to spaghetti or egg noodles)
I served this last night with Rhodes Rolls (YUM) and stewed tomatoes.
Enjoy
Can it really be that easy?? Can't wait to try it! Thanks!!!
